The Rosewater Boubou — Hand-Dyed Batik
Rose and plum, dyed by hand into a rippling vertical pattern that runs the full length of the piece. A wide V neck trimmed in coral, generous elbow sleeves with a banded cuff, and deep patch pockets set into the front.
Lighter in mood than the indigo, and it photographs beautifully — which matters more than anyone admits.
The cloth
Hand-dyed batik cotton with a soft crinkle texture through the skirt. The wave pattern is created by hand-folding the cloth before dyeing, so no two lengths break in the same place. Yours will differ slightly from the photograph, and that is the point of buying something a person made.
Do not iron the crinkled section — pressing flattens the texture permanently.
