Returns & Refunds

30 days to change your mind

UK law gives you 14 days. We give you 30, because buying a garment you have only seen on a screen takes a little faith and we would rather you took your time.

The short version

  • You have 30 days from delivery to tell us you want to return something.
  • Once you have told us, you have a further 14 days to post it back.
  • We refund within 5 working days of the parcel reaching us — well inside the 14 days the law allows.
  • Return postage is paid by you, unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong thing.

What condition it needs to be in

Unworn, unwashed, unperfumed, with tags attached. You are welcome to try a piece on the way you would in a shop — that is your right. But a garment that comes back smelling of a night out, or marked with make-up, cannot be resold, and we may reduce the refund to reflect that.

How to start a return

Email hello@kemja.co.uk with your order number and which piece you are sending back. We will reply within one working day with the return address and instructions. Please get a proof of postage — until the parcel reaches us, it is your responsibility, and the receipt is what protects you.

Faulty or wrong item

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have 30 days to reject a faulty item for a full refund. Send us a photograph at hello@kemja.co.uk and we will cover the return postage and sort it out. No argument, no forms.

A note on hand-dyed fabric

Adire and batik are dyed by hand, in small batches, by people rather than machines. Slight variation in the depth of colour, and small irregularities in the pattern, are how the cloth is made — not faults. Every piece is genuinely a little different from the next. We think that is the point.

What we cannot accept back

Pierced jewellery, for hygiene reasons. Everything else is returnable.

Refund method

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. Your bank may take a further 3–5 working days to show it.
